School staff and students face increasing pressures that can impact well-being, performance, and resilience. This interactive session explores the biology of stress, how it affects the mind and body, and practical strategies for managing stress effectively.

Inspired by our Fostering Resilience training, participants will learn how to recognize stress responses, understand the difference between stress and stressors, and apply simple techniques to support their own well-being and foster resilience in youth. Attendees will also practice stress-management exercises and explore ways to create healthier, more resilient school communities.

The session will conclude with a live Q&A, allowing participants to ask questions about what they’ve learned and how they can apply it to their day-to-day work/life.

At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the biological stress response and its impact on health
  • Recognize how stress manifests in themselves and students
  • Apply practical strategies to manage stress and prevent burnout
  • Support resilience-building among students
  • Incorporate simple wellness practices into everyday routines
