About SOS Signs of Suicide

SOS Signs of Suicide provides evidence-based suicide prevention education to students from middle school through college – and to the adults who support them. Trusted by thousands of schools nationwide, our flagship youth program has been shown to reduce suicide attempts by 64%.

Our core programs teach individuals how to identify signs of suicide and depression, and what to do if they’re worried about themselves or a friend. We also offer training and resources that further support suicide prevention and mental health education. SOS is a service of Riverside Community Care, a non-profit leader in behavioral health and human services.

"Out of all the money your school can spend on curriculum and other things, this is a drop in the bucket when it comes to saving a life.

The SOS program truly helps save lives."
